Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for people to work through troubles and issues that they might be confronted with. Maybe it’s stress, working related problems, or maybe low self-esteem and lack of confidence is getting in the way you getting your needs met.
I have been practicing as a Therapist for 23 year, and have worked with many people just like you who have needed to speak to someone who can support them, as they work through problems and difficulties. Helping them to get a new perspective on old problems and traumas and most importantly, as everyone is an individual, work towards a solution that is just right for them.

Is counselling the same as therapy?
There are several different styles of therapy and all of them aim to improve mental health, and they all differ slightly in their approach. I use a variety of techniques, dependant on clients specific issues. Solution Focused counselling focuses on the present and future, providing tools and strategies to achieve personal goals. Trauma Informed counselling, on the other hand, often deals with past issues and traumas.
How long does it take to see results from counselling?
The duration to see results from counselling varies for each individual. Some may see improvements in a few weeks, while others may take several months. It largely depends on the individual's commitment to the process, and the issues involved.
